St Patrick’s Day feature: Ireland in the Eurovision Song Contest

It’s been quite a while since I posted and a lot has been going on in Eurovision-land while I have been Down Under (I did manage to post at least a couple of photos from my visit to the Sydney Opera House and Conchita’s concert). Lots more Eurovision 2016 stuff to come soon but as it’s St Patrick’s day today, it’s a good time to look back at Eurovision’s most successful country (by number of wins) – Ireland! I’ve made a little poll to see who you is your favourite Irish Eurovision winner and there are plenty to choose from as they have won a record 7 times!

You can vote in the poll below, but here is a reminder of the 7 wins before you vote:

1970: Dana – “All Kinds of Everything”

1980: Johnny Logan – “What’s Another Year”

1987: Johnny Logan – “Hold Me Now”

1992 – Linda Martin – “Why Me”

1993 – Niamh Kavanagh – “In Your Eyes”

1994 – Paul Harrington & Charlie McGettigan – Rock ‘n’ Roll Kids

1996 – Eimear Quinn – The Voice

Vote for your favourite
